This is probably the most interesting/important period in Japanese history, and I’d like to learn about it.

And the Meiji Era, which is an important transitionary period for Japanese society, would make a great sequel lesson.

In fact, I’d love if there were a series of EC lessons on the important periods of Japanese history, the details of how Japan functioned as a feudal society, their choice to isolate from the rest of the world until the late 1700s, and Samurai (of course).
